What’s inside

Five deliverables. One signed-off PDF.

A productised diagnostic, not a workshop. Two weeks of senior-engineer time producing a written plan you can act on.

01

Stack assessment

A line-by-line walk through the operational and customer-facing systems you run today. What’s built, what’s bought, what’s held together with manual handoffs, and where each component sits in the operational lifecycle.

02

Integration-gap analysis

Where the manual handoffs sit. Which systems should talk to each other and don’t. Where re-keying happens. Where data quality drops between two systems. Where a workflow bypasses the system entirely.

03

AI use-case identification

Specific candidate workflows for AI — ranked by impact, integration cost and risk profile. Each with a cost estimate (build + run), an ROI estimate, and a recommended posture: pilot, retainer, leave alone, or buy.

04

Security and compliance posture

Snapshot of your current cloud and security posture against the standards your sector requires — Cyber Essentials, DSPT, GDPR, ISO 27001 prep where relevant. Named remediation steps. Specialist managed-security work referred to MSSP partners.

05

Written 90-day plan

A signed-off PDF with named recommendations, scoped cost ranges, and the call on what to build, what to buy, what to leave alone. You can act on it with us, take it to another supplier, or shelve it. The plan is yours either way.

How it runs

Two weeks. End to signed-off PDF.

Day 0

Booking confirmed

Senior engineer assigned. Pre-read sent. Workshop scheduled.

Days 1–3

Discovery workshops

Two half-day sessions with your operations and engineering leads. Stack walk-through, gap interview, AI use-case shortlist.

Days 4–9

Analysis & drafting

We work through the stack offline. Cost estimates. ROI ranges. Security posture review. Draft plan circulated end of week 2.

Day 10

Read-out & sign-off

One-hour read-out call. Q&A. Named follow-on routes. Signed-off PDF in your inbox the same day.

Who runs the Discovery

Engineers who ship production software. Not consultants who write decks.

Team Bison has been engineering production software since 2003. Bison Grid — our vehicle-logistics QC platform — runs in production with global shipping and logistics operators, with a Claude-powered AI agent operational today. The plan you get back at Day 10 is written by the same senior engineers who built and operate those systems.

23 years
Engineering production software since 2003. Same team, same engineering standards.
Bison Grid in production
Our vehicle-logistics QC platform — Bison Inspect, ePOD and the Bison App — live with global shipping and logistics operators.
Claude in production
A Claude-powered AI agent runs live on Bison Grid across ingested operational data sources — our strongest deployed-AI proof point.
Web + native mobile
Bison Grid runs as web SaaS and as native iOS and Android apps, used by global shipping and logistics operators.

The Discovery is delivered by a senior UK engineer from this team. No offshore handoff, no junior staff, no sales-led discovery — same engineering standards as the production systems above.

Common questions

What buyers ask before they book.

Is the Discovery really paid? Why not free?

Two reasons. First, a free ‘audit’ isn’t an audit — it’s a sales call dressed up. We need two weeks of senior-engineer time to produce something useful, and we’d rather charge for it than dilute the work. Second, the fee is a qualifying signal: buyers who pay are buyers who can act on the plan.

What if we don’t want to build with you afterwards?

You keep the plan. The fee covers the work either way. The credit-back applies if we go on to a follow-on build together — it’s an incentive, not a hostage situation.

Who runs the Discovery?

A senior engineer with an operations background — someone who has shipped production software in operations-heavy environments. Never an offshore team, never a junior, never a sales-led discovery.

Do we need to share source code or production access?

No. The Discovery runs from interviews, architecture diagrams and read-only data where you’re comfortable. NDA before kickoff if you want one. We can scope it to whatever access boundary you set.

What sectors do you do this for?

Operations-heavy and regulated teams. Heaviest depth in shipping, logistics and 3PL/fleet — those are the named verticals. We also defend long-standing accounts in NHS, legal and medical. If you’re outside those, we’ll tell you in the qualifying call.
